Who We Are
Dennis L. Phelps
Dennis has devoted his 34 year legal career aggressively and passionately representing the interests of injured workers and injured persons throughout the State of Kansas.
He has served two terms as Chairman of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Workers Compensation lawyer committee and was appointed to a Kansas Governor"s Task Force on Workers compensation.
He has spoken numerous times as a seminar speaker in the fields of Workers Compensation and Social Security Disability.
He has successfully litigated well over 10,000 cases representing injured individuals who were wrongfully denied compensation or who were denied their rights to compensation by big business or large insurance company interests. Dennis was adopted at age 2 and raised in a small town (Wellington Kansas) by working class parents.
He started working at the age of 10 (with a paper route) and was a top tier student in high school, college and in law school. After receiving honors at Washburn Law S chool and being selected as a Law Journal notes editor, Dennis was then selected for and hired as a research attorney for the Kansas Supreme Court. Since 1980,
Dennis has resided in Wichita Kansas with his wife (an elementary school teacher) and has two grown children. Outside of the practice of law, Dennis is an avid reader, guitar player, sports enthusiast, and lends financial support to cancer research causes in memory of two sisters recently lost to that horrible disease.
